About our Mulbarton Nursery

Treetops Nursery in Mulbarton was the first nurturing childcare setting in the Treetops family. Our core beliefs are to offer a setting that encourages heuristic play and incorporates concepts such as ‘Neutrals and Naturals‘ as well as the ‘Curiosity Approach‘. Andrew and his team help inspire childrens’ imaginations by encouraging simple but effective learning and development through the exploration of their own surroundings.

Treetops Nursery’s ethos is echoed by our tagline: ‘Children blossoming in a nurturing environment’. To understand more about our setting, read our values as a childcare provider.

Owner and founder, Andrew Didwell has over 10 years’ experience within early years education. He also has over 6 years’ experience managing, leading and developing staff.

Based in Mulbarton, just off the B113 leading to Norwich; Treetops Nursery Mulbarton is Ofsted Registered and caters for children between the ages of 2 and 5. It is the ideal introduction to learning before starting school. In fact Mulbarton Primary School is located in close proximity, making it perfect for sibling school picks. I'd never left R with anyone other than my Mum before he started at Treetops last year. Yet from day one at the nursery he was happy and wanted to go back.

I've never so much as had a backward glance from him as he cheerily says goodbye and rushes in. He loves his time there and asks every day if he can go to school because they do such special things with him and make him feel so happy. As a result of this he has come on leaps and bounds.

Nursery assisted me with my very failed potty training and were always on hand to help which felt above and beyond. He was soon out of nappies thanks to their encouragement.

They also have been so brilliant at giving information via Tapestry and email to make me feel at ease. Having not seen the nursery before he started due to lock down measures this was very welcome.

Treetops Nursery has a nurturing and vibrant environment which is certainly enriching R's education and play. We are extremely happy with everything from their very human flexibility to the education levels. It's a wonderful place for my son to be and I can't imagine there could be anywhere better.

My son joined Treetops this week, however my daughter also attended the setting between 2019 and 2020 before starting school. Treetops Mulbarton is a really special place. The staff put such tremendous effort and care into everything they do, and this is reflected in how happy my children have been there.

Upon first visiting the setting in 2019 it was really clear how carefully thought out and considered the activities, learning opportunities and overall setup are. The staff always go above and beyond with every topic they cover; I always remember how excited my daughter was when it was "people that help us" week, and a real fire engine and firemen paid a visit to the setting - she still talks about it now! The overall approach to everything is so thorough.

Communication with parents is excellent, I always know exactly what they've been up to, what they're learning, and areas they are excelling in or might perhaps need support with. Nothing is ever assumed and I receive regular updates through newsletters, Tapestry and social media which really helps our family feel part of the setting. During the pandemic, quite amazingly, we received daily, thorough activity ideas to help keep the children entertained and learning at home.

Since my son has just started, the settling sessions and approach of the staff have been professional, welcoming and informative. His key person, Lisa, in particular has been fantastic. Her calm and supportive approach has really helped my son make the transition from his previous nursery and I already feel there is a strong understanding of his likes and dislikes.

I feel very fortunate to have found this setting for my children.
